Technical Information

A bushy herbaceous plant.

The plant has an upright growth habit, with a very sturdy stem and broad, dark green trifoliate leaves.

Grows to a height of 70 to 90 cm and has a more robust root system than soybeans.

Its roots can grow up to 95 cm deep in 8 weeks of vegetative growth.

Agricultural Profile

3.5 to 5 tons in 8 to 12 weeks under favorable conditions.

Two to three harvests are possible, depending on the sowing date.

Forage quality

High in protein: 140 to 210 g of MAT, depending on the harvest stage.

DMO from 72% to 78%

UFL of 0.82 to 0.88.

Planting Tips

• SOWING DATE:

– Do not sow too early; germination will be slow.
– Sow once the risk of frost has passed and when
the soil temperature reaches 12 to 14°C.

• SEEDING RATE (PMG: 66 g)

Pure sowing:
– Dry conditions: 10 to 14 kg/ha at 18 to 35 cm
spacing, to yield a stand of 90,000 to 130,000
plants/ha, or 9 to 13 plants/m²
– Irrigated conditions: 20 kg/ha.
Mixed sowing: 50–60% of each species.
